I remember these guys being somewhat well known in the late 90's / early 2000's but they've since faded into obscurity. probably doesn't help that they haven't put out an album in over a decade....

I first heard them around the time Dimmu’s puritanical eupho-whatever album came out and production-wise, they really do sound the same. However, i always felt that this band was living in that Dimmu album’s shadow for some reason.

well it is Galder's (guitarist from Dimmu) band essentially so it's not too surprising that there would be some similarities.
