GHS and d'Addario NYXL strings are my favorites.

Been using D'addario's and Ernie Balls for quite a while.

My strings definitely need changing but I'm lazy. Maybe this weekend.

i used ernie ball strings for 10+ years but switched to d'addario in the last few years. the eb strings had a noticeable dead sound to me when it was time to change them (a few months). d'addario sound better longer to me. haven't changed the strings on my main guitar in probably a year and it's oddly sounding alright.

i mostly switched to d'addario to handle tuning to b on my six string (like carcass, cryptopsy, etc). eb strings never sounded right tuning that low. the key was finding a string set with a wound 3rd string, solve all the intonation problems i had tuning that low.

eb strings are also super bright when you first put them on, i never liked that

Haven't changed my strings in more than a year in both my Ibanezes. Maybe I should change those soon but they're still alright to me.

I use GHS strings mainly because that's what they sell at my go-to guitar service shop and I'm not really that particular with string brands. The GHS strings work for my purposes so I'm sticking with them. If that shop sells any other brand, I'd probably go with those.
