Hi there!
As I know Erik changes his gear often and I didn't found any info from these two old albums.
I know he used some point ENGLs, Marshalls, cabs with Greenbacks...
Do you know any specific info about what he used on King of all kings of on I, Monarch?
Thank you!
Erik Rutan's gear on Kings and I, Monarch?

Check their DVD from the I Monarch tour. Some studio footage there too.

I recall reading somewhere along the lines of 'BC Rich Ironbird and Jr. V with EMG pickups and ENGL Powerball with Marshall 4x12' during that era.

If I remember correctly, Conquerors up to I Monarch were all ENGL Powerballs.
Guitar and pickups...Conquerors is most probably his Red (or was it purple) Ibanez RG with the stock DiMarzios or whatever Ibanez had stock for that model at the time. Kings is most definitely an 'EMG' album as you can definitely hear the EMG 81 bite in the tone so this is most probably the red Import Ironbird that got stolen. Not much info was given about the guitars used for I, Monarch although the aforementioned Ironbird and Jr. V with EMGs were part of his touring rig for that album...could be different guitars with different pickups used in the recording.

I know he's a big fan of Maxon overdrives, so he was probably using with either an Engl or Marshall head.

Part of me is kinda waiting on how long till guys like Erik Rutan will trade in their touring amps for amp modelers like what almost everyone else is doing now.
