we're almost halfway through this bitch, how you guys holding up?
i was off work for about a month recently and have been trying to get back to normal lately but man it's hard to get back into things. don't really want to talk about it but i'm trying to get there.
went to the movie theater for the first time in a year the other night and FUCK some teenagers for pretty much ruining it since they were being loud the entire time
Hit 1 year at the current job on the 1st. Work is busy as fuck, we're understaffed and have pretty much outgrown this building. Just had back to back record months for my department and June is already shaping up to be the same way.
Kids are almost done with school and that shit has been a wild ass time. They really struggled with the whole virtual learning thing, so it'll be good for them to back in full time next year.
Really wish I had more time for hobby shit at home but after work I don't always have it in me to do much. Just looking forward to my September road trip and shows coming back.

I've been busy with work and looking for a place to live. spent a month probably looking at several dozen houses - took six different offers for one to finally get accepted by a seller and as such got myself a 1932 Tudor style home that is nearly double the square footage of my previous home, smaller yard but a really good location and next to a park. what a pain in the ass this was though - I have excellent credit, plenty of savings and more than enough for a 20% down payment, get per-approved out the wazoo and despite putting in competitive offers to the point that I almost wasn't comfortable with it I kept getting beat by people who were just buying the houses with cash outright. this one worked out though as I actually was able to talk them down $5K from the list price and it is a bit less than some of the other homes were listed at. Only thing that kind of sucks is I won't be able to close on it until the middle of July unless the seller is able to move up the date due to their own circumstances.
Other than that I've spent a couple of days hiking in some of the nearby parks and checking out some of the various farmers / international markets around town.
