Yup. Just regular bills are killing me. Groceries and rent are an absolute splendid mate of mine.zim wrote: ↑08 May 2026, 19:19yeah this is also a problem. i used to rent a cabin every winter out in the middle of nowhere and even those are now like 200-300 dollars a night nowMethuselah Honeysuckle wrote: ↑08 May 2026, 06:00Nope. Clutch just announced a fall tour with Slomosa. Closest date is 3-4 hours away depending on if it's PA or VA, I'd be at a probably $300-$400 just in gas and hotel for a single night plus travel. That's not including food/merch/beer or anything else for the 2 day trip.

Re: Do you have any travel planned this summer?
i still have not much opportunity for agentic travel but i make the most of what i can get from family opportunities. next trip back to chiang mai we're taking the family down to bangkok for a few days, i haven't been to the big city since 2023 so it will be nice to get back and introduce the sights to my 5yr old niece. otherwise not much happening this year.
haven't visited a new country since 2023 due to the whole mum cancer situation

Tirana is such a great city as well. Trained jiu jitsu twice at an academy there. Met some folks from New York who also train there and moved to Tirana 6 years ago.
I could live there for sure.

A lot has changed in a short time and most historical sites have been preserved or turned into a museum to teach about their history. For sure passionate people. Originally they were a non-religious country, only holding to their own laws of honor, before Christians and afterwards the Ottoman empire came in. Now every religion and non-religious people live in harmony there. It's very nice to see.
