went and saw Boris from Japan last night. Russian Circles were also supposed to play but they wrecked their van on their way over from New Orleans and they all died or some shit.
the opening band was some band named Saade who I can't seem to find any info on and they were not from around here "this is our first time playing the united states" pretty good drone/ambient rock.
Boris was fucking intense. i'm glad I brought ear protection because it helped filter out a lot of the noise and you could actually hear, and more importantly feel every note that was played. the only thing that would have made it better would have been if I were high during their performance. highly recommend seeing Boris if they play near you. the crowd was really into it too, during the fast songs people were moshing and crowd surfing, the drummer even dove into the crowd a couple of times. I heard the venue owner say beforehand that they had to add four circuits to the stage for everything Boris is going to run; check out those amps in the back.
