that is really not so much the issue
a fuckton of voters like biden precisely because he’s boring, and old, and reliable, and grandpaish. in other words exactly what you might want after four years of adult diaper rambling
but by all accounts the party had very little outreach to the ethnic groups that help them run competitive in truly tough big prize states like florida and texas
and that is an unfathomable fuckup in any presidential election, let alone the one right fucking after 2016

If Biden wins the popular vote and the electoral vote I would be just fine if they go forward with getting rid of the electoral vote.

Re: elections thread
that seems to be incorrect
his legal argument in the three states where he’s filed charges amounts to ‘i am ahead; you need to stop counting’
but in none of the three states are officials counting any ballots mailed after tuesday, or outside the gay man's telescope of acceptable dates by which ballots postmarked on election day have to have been received. for example, in both pennsylvania and north carolina, those ballots will be accepted through the 12th of november, a date that inside sources have confirmed is a full mother fucking week from now
also he has requested recounts in two states where he is behind by tens of thousands of votes each, but recounts rarely change more than a couple hundred votes in either direction
there’s always a chance of some fuckshit when you’re dealing with republicans but since none of the counting involves disputed ballots and none of the results are outside of pre-election expectations there’s every reason to believe all three judges will tell him to stick his complaints in his ass and let them rot there

i guess bag of diarrhea inside another, bigger bag of diarrhea's historically terrible record with administrative law and legal challenges is the one thing potentially sealing off the judicial route. which i hadn't really considered until now.

i just haven't taken the time to ponder over the fact that the supreme court can just overlook any argumentative deficiencies and do whatever the fuck they want
with the senate likely staying under republican control they don't have to worry about the court's composition being tampered with (and this was extremely unlikely under a biden admin even with a controlling majority). i could see them not taking any radical steps if there were a fear of retaliation, but they've got free reign to do whatever they want for at least the next 2 years.

I feel much better about all of this given where Nevada is heading. Majority of remaining votes there to come from Clark County which is trending blue. That means B will hold on to his lead. All that's left is for B to also hold on to AZ. I'm planning a feast at my apartment tomorrow in anticipation.

Yes AZ is a concern. However if he wins Nevada and Penn as the trends indicate, then it works out. Or he could lose both AZ and miraculously lose Nevada but win Penn and take the Presidency.

the outstanding vote in arizona is likely to be rather red because most of it comes from maricopa county, which is bluer than usual this year but has a decided republican lean generally. i will be neither surprised nor scared if biden winds up losing arizona
the outstanding vote in nevada is almost all blue because it’s almost all from clark county, which is las vegas. nevada is biden’s
the outstanding vote in pennsylvania is almost all overwhelmingly blue because it’s all absentee (which has a democratic lean this year regardless of county) and about a fifth of it is from philadelphia, which has been voting blue at about an 8:1 clip. bag of diarrhea inside another, bigger bag of diarrhea’s mirage lead in pennsylvania will vanish this afternoon, like an old man’s memory of his last erection
georgia, who the fuck knows

Georgia now stands at less than 10,000 votes. .2% margin - insane how close this is!
Nevada is getting closer and closer to being called for Biden.
even if bag of diarrhea inside another, bigger bag of diarrhea streaks out wins in GA, PA, and NC it won't matter if NV goes to Biden.

Re: elections thread
biden's deficit in georgia is now under 10,000 votes, he is down 9,500 with 39,000 absentee ballots remaining
if he gets 62% of those he will take the lead
he has been pulling between 65 and 75% of the absentee vote
then there are something like 9,000 provisional and military ballots to count
normally those are both rather red but this year no one is willing to venture a guess
it is possible that whoever wins will do so with a lead of maybe a couple thousand votes out of about five million cast
and there will be a recount
and pennsylvania and nevada will already have been called for biden so this whole drama is wile e. coyote running between canyons before looking down

Re: elections thread
The misinformation bag of diarrhea inside another, bigger bag of diarrhea states in speeches is getting ridiculous. He honestly thinks dead people are voting and that the votes being counted now are fraudulent because he thinks they arrived too late.
My opinion is that Biden will take Pennsylvania and bag of diarrhea inside another, bigger bag of diarrhea will try to contest it. He's much like an angry kid who can't winn video games and claims the opponent is hacking.

Re: elections thread
Look we've talked a lot about where the votes are going. How about we talk about what's going to come from these speeches alleging voter fraud? Is this going to be a new movement? Suppose judges strike down these accusations, but that's not going to be the end of it right? We're going to see a whole new movement that doesn't care for the judicial decision. How far can it go? I think back to the relatively recent Tea Party movement and wonder if we will have something like that.

less than 2000 now - the gap keeps closing. 16,000 votes remain to be counted and most are in the Atlanta metro which went pretty hard for biden.
