Blasphegram is my favourite sign of any kind - I love how it's lines (those that aren't from the pentagram) remind me of spruce/fir trees, their pointy top and wide lower branches. Spruce/fir trees (which I worship daily) are evergreen and they soldier on through every weather so they can ASCEND, that to me represents the neverending life power that is within Morbid Angel



Blasphegram gives me another vision - those same lines that remind me of spruce/fir tree also give me visions of an insane spirit/entity/wizard/magician/monk with it's cloak and hood that is dancing/swirling around in that pentagram bound circle, but it is unbound by the spheres



That Insane being on Illud Divinum Insanus cover really fits together with my imagination of Insane entity that is circling around within Blasphegram - it has sharp and pointy edges like spruce/fir tree and it has an aura of an crazy other-wordly wizard/magician/monk!

Heretic really is a good album and I've been appreciating it alot recently. The polyrhythms and alternate guitar parts are a great idea and are incredibly well exectuded. I get the same evil vibe from that record that I get from some of the Blessed tracks like Brainstorm. The really evil and twisted riffing style = .



Abyssous is also my favourite MA instrumental / interlude track - when I listen to that track I feel like I've been taken to another plane. If anyone knows any other artists or albums which have a similar vibe or sound (an ambient record or something like that?) then I would be grateful if you could recommend it.
