Re: Dredd
i'm one of those people that didn't want to see this because of the stallone movie. when I first saw the previews all I could think was "seriously? they're remaking/rebooting that fucking movie?! no thanks." but after hearing a lot of positive word of mouth reviews I might just have to give in and see this.

As a 25 years+ Dredd obsessive allow me to explain...
Imagine somebody takes the classic and well loved book Moby Dick and makes it a movie called Moby Dick only in this movie the whale is a giant truck that can shoot lasers from it's anus and Captain Ahab is a gay aerobics instructor from the bronx who can sing like an angel, Captain Ahab then Sings the giant truck into oblivion and finishes by bumming a giant velvet moth.
or perhaps more simply - imagine you buy a jar of jam, when you get home it's actually full of dismembered sealion testicles.
That's basically what happend with the Stallone abortion.
forget it ever happened and go see this fucking movie, and take your friends
i've honestly been considering seeing it again just because. the fact that there was literally no one else other than myself in the theater helped add to the experience.
Haha, snap. I really hope that word of mouth gives this movie a well-deserved bump because DAMN.

Re: Dredd
I was discussing this movie with a fellating lover of mine, a film student. He was mentioning how this is the only action movie he's ever seen that could get an oscar for cinematography.
Turns out that the hard-on bearer who did this won a best cinematography oscar for slumdog millionaire.

Need a new signature? Why not Zoidberg? (V) (;,,;) (V)

it's a gen-yoo-wine cheese free zone.
Especially compared to any Jason Statham movies!
GO SEE IT ALONE OR WITH A FISH!
