one of those bands that has somehow escaped my direct attention over the years, even though i've always been aware of them. what's the best ones to get, help a brother out here

i don't know much about pestilence myself but i downloaded Spheres (4th album) and love it. i also know some random songs that are

Consuming Impulse and then Testimony of the Ancients.

I love Spheres as well, but it isn't necessarily representative of how they sound, it was kind of a one-off album.

Testimony of the Ancients: it has the great eerie atmosphere and like Morbid Angel, they also had the Ancients ones/ Elder gods theme going on.

consuming impulse will fuck you up!! first real DM band i was ever into back in 4th grade my dad played me out of the body and my balls dropped

my dad told me about the pestilence-Consuming impulse Death- Spiritual healing and Carcass- symphonies of sickness tour back in 1990. i'd punch david vincent in the goatee to see that!

Don't like the Spheres though, I think it's crap. Van Drunen is one of the best vocalist ever in DM scene IMO, so powerful. Out of the body

Mameli had good vocals too. Nowadays I don't care about Pestilence though, especially after hearing C-187 or whatever it was called.
