Yup. It sucks because it goes just like a normal day be ause nothing strange or dream like is going on. Then you wake up an you wonder if that really was a dream
whenever i have a 'your shit is due today' moment when i haven't even begun the assignment, i just reflexively think 'meh, i'll just make it up later by doing well on everything else. or the final grade will wind up being curved and not doing this won't even matter 'cuz everyone else is mad stupid, dogg.' between the two, i've been right every time
that's kind of a recent phenomenon. i used to be a studious splendid mate of mine, but now that i'm pretty much at the end of my degree and i've worked out how to game professors/grades (and have next to no interest in pursuing a career involving my studies), my motivation has taken a complete nosedive
I've never had the "oh shit its due today" moment at uni, mainly because we don't get home assignments that often and they're generally big and tough enough to not forget about, as the whole class whines about them every so often. They don't count almost at all towards the final grade though, so the oh shit moments only come on the final exam day. Ie: only 20-30% of the class passed half of the courses last semester.
I've got 7 exams to take in may/june, then a 2nd opportunity to take a sweep at them in July. I think the fact that my uni gives us 3 exam attempts per year is the only reason I'm managing to pass everything. Most people just give up and tack on another year or more if they fail anything instead of taking the 2nd or 3rd hack at an exam in the same year. I am the manliest examinee in my year.
