I dig this. I guess this is it's own genre? Paul from Blood Incantation has a bunch of releases in this style under his label Special Low Frequency.

One review of the first M87 album said it belonged to a genre called 'Black Space', which was news to me; I just kind of write it 
The M87 stuff is very much me as frustrated classical composer, all my Messiaen/Shostakovich/Ligeti etc influences come out in that stuff.
