I keep forgetting how good some of those Ripper Owens-era songs were. Overall I prefer Halford's voice, but Ripper has quite a set of lungs on him!

Iced Earth's Gettysburg trilogy is 30 minutes of awesome, that wouldn't have been nearly so without Mr. Owens.



I met that man whil they were on tour for said album, and he was a swell fellow, I wish I had gotten a picture.

Yeah, I love the way the high school version just collapses at the end. I guess they didn't rehearse that far, not that the other parts are exactly tight, either!
