britain will have a much easier time leaving compared to most other european countries since they're not a part of the currency union and thus don't have to deal with most of the infrastructural and economic policy barriers that other countries do.

My thought is that the weaker economies requiring assistance will default on their loans, Portugal, Spain, Greece, etc will leave. Some countries have really strong nationalist parties emerging, like National Front in France that might be bolstered by Britain's departure. 
 
And while yes the actual break up will take time, just as it took time to form the union, the day of the news will send a massive shock wave of hysteria across the globe.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't this start out because some Brits were against accepting Syrian refugees because they feel that the government should address other more pressing issues first rather than spending a huge amount of money in accepting and providing hospitality for the refugees? Then the EU is all like "hey as part of the EU you should do your part in accepting refugees just like we did". I think I read an article like that a few months back.

Actually no, the primary issue of the Leave campaign is that there is too much legal immigration from the EU.

I'm not sure of how this kind of thing is administered as it has never happened before but it is happening. The people have voted.

Fantastic morning to wake up! This is a new beginning to crush this corrupt, capital driven sick system that decays our culture and sovereignty. I hope this will start a domino effect and more countries will leave this horrible mockery of Europe.
 
Hilarious to see media whining about STOCK MARKETS plumbing etc, this financial loss, what the hell. Finances in the end are meaningless. Now Britain can finally govern it's own borders, throw out all refugees and put an end to Calains scum camp travellers by force. It's a new dawn to Europe, I hope so.

those are rather different reasons for support, is why i ask

Just want a safe Europe with strong individual countries that can make their own laws and decide about their own border controls. It's not that much to ask, but with EU it will never happen. I will gladly carry around passport and even change currency if needed, if I can get border control to work again like it should.
