looks promising...but as with all things hollywood now, i am left wondering as to where will they insert the political-correctness and how it will smear this franchise

i am not excited but three things to be fair
1) this trailer feels like every other big budget epic movie trailer released in the last decade-plus, but that is a criticism of the trailer and not necessarily the movie
2) i am a super duper snob about the novels and don't really think any of them should be made into movies unless each movie is going to be about eight hours long
3) i looked up the director and apparently he is a big fan of the novels as well and insisted that the first one be two movies instead of one, which is a step in the right direction anyway
so maybe this will be decent. the sandworm reveal does look splendid

i have never read the books or seen the movie, i am a philistine in this regard

I pretty much agree with this, the marketing slant on the trailer is disappointing and the music wasn't a great choice but visually it looks amazing

oh and where the shit is lady jessica, she is pretty much the main character of the first third of the book and yet she does not appear in the trailer for the movie based on approximately the first third of the book
what fucking trailer are you watching chani is in there loads at the beginning making out with paul and the mother superior is in there loads giving the gom jabbar, those are the only women in the trailer at all except for one person's face and neck from 1:04 to 1:05 which research tells me is indeed the actress who plays lady jessica
so is two seconds "loads"
or were you confusing jessica with paul. which would be an honest mistake
