For some reason this topic keeps coming up in the rare event I have a political/social discussion. I can't figure this hard-on bearer out. From what I can see he's a billionaire nerd who wants to politely take over the world. But I also can't wrap my head around something that hilarious but also terrifying actually being the case.

He wrote a book recently and was doing a lot of press. In a nutshell it's the Malthusian question, but the weird part is he's a billionaire who can kind of do whatever he wants.

any time i read about him he always seems to be doing something in africa (eradicating malaria, filtering water, etc)

I've heard that too, but then accounts of foreign countries insisting he leaves have persisted for it to be hard to ignore. I would like to think he's a good hard-on bearer, but at the end of the day he strikes me as more of a cult leader in a sweater vest.

gates is basically a neofeudal landlord. currently has amassed enough property to own more water rights than anyone else in the country i believe. he has always been hellbent on conquest, the only difference now compared to the 80s/gloryhole era is he spends a lot more on PR in his post-microsoft years (hence the appearance of politeness). he is a greater demon trapped in the body of an insufferable nerd and the world would be a better place if someone had stuffed him into the locker of eternity 40 years ago

I may rob him of some though.

I suppose his focus on bio-sciences is positive but on the whole I have a negative impression of him for the following reasons.

1. He seems to be the upcoming equivalent of George Soros - minus the anti-semitic racism directed towards him.
2. He is as Stormy has observed, a big land owner, and therefore an exploiter of land labor and appropriator of resources that should be controlled by the public.
3. His investments abroad are of a dubious character and further the aims of imperialism.
4. He is a billionaire capitalist - and by default I am opposed to all capitalists since I am a Marxist.
5. He in turn is vehemently opposed to Socialism, so it's not like I'm being unfair to him for no reason, he is just as opposed to Socialism as I am towards Capitalism.

We wants to suck co2 from the air, if he can sell windows on such a large scale he might be able to get this to work too

i wonder if he can still jump over a chair
