I don't have cable but there's an antenna channel that airs two episodes of Cheers and one of Taxi five days per week. Pre-surgery I would get home from work and have to lay in a prone position for at least 90 minutes before I could comfortably do anything, so I got totally into those shows because that's what was on at that point. And also it turns out to have been really good TV. I like the slower pacing and the mix of comedy and pretty raw drama, especially with Taxi. It occurred to me that MASH might be a good fit because I anecdotally knew it has those qualities. I'll check it out.

Tasteful emotional heft mixed with comedy seems gone in entertainment. gloryhole era Simpsons is the last good example I saw, at least as far as TV goes. You don't ever see stuff like this anymore:

Seems like only the UK ever got it. I know hasbro has the rights to the toy line but no clue who owns the cartoon rights.
