Is hard.

Biggest obstacle is going from retail and working until 10-11pm, with a lot of socialization, a bunch of down time and not using my brain that much, and being pretty physically active and generally in uncomfortable chairs or awkward standing positions etc.

To
Waking up 3-4 hrs earlier than normal. Focusing on content for 7 hours (but thank fuck I get an hour lunch break), working with people and being collaborative in a group, diving into topics unknown to me. Feeling mentally tired and too drained to put brain power into decisions. Maybe studying a bit after class.

I'm not used to this and I'm not sure how to recharge/refresh my mind.

there's definitely a trade off, you won't be physically tired after work but you will be mentally and it can suck just as hard

Being mentally drained is so much worse

I prefer this compared to what I used to go through. Some days I would be both

Aye. There's days where it's both at work, overworked and understaffed will do that to you

sounds like you are diving in though and doing it right, work hard, get tired, improve your life

Try to visualize large piles of cash, that may help you to keep going.

Coding is torture

there are youtube ads i get sometimes for some coding place in dublin. the ads are so dumb

one starts with a graduate saying that since he has done the course his life has done "a complete 360"

one starts with a different graduate saying coding is something you either get or you dont - this is at the start of an advertisement for a course in coding

i was never considering doing this course, but given that they are selling a course in teaching something that is heavily logic dependent, it is remarkable that they released these as ads. i can only imagine how terrible the course is. it makes me feel sad that people might put their hopes in a course like this
