Fucking same check out illuminaughtii’s thing on him. She isn’t perfect but glad someone with an okay audience is speaking out against musk, nestle, etc.

Before his podcast he was best known as the host of Fear Factor. He did other television bits as well as stand-up.
His podcast has a cult following and is quite a large platform so he interviews all kinds of folks.

There are a lot of his podcasts that are incredible. Especially of the last 2 to 3 years. Doctors, scientists, artists, musicians, soldiers, comedians. So many life stories and knowledge gems. I play his podcasts every week, depending on the guests/topics.

Joe Rogan has honestly gotten steadily worse over the years. I used to listen to his podcast but now I just don't care. Dude has had a literal Nazi on his show (Gavin McInnes) , and Alex Jones (more than once). He tries to be "both sides", mocks mask wearing to prevent the spread of a pandemic, and openly goes off on how he thinks trans people are "weird."
I also can't stand how he acts like he's an expert on x topic just because he had a guest on that actually was.
Dude drinks the kool-aid flavor of the month far too often. Like when he was going around saying Ronda Rousey could beat any hard-on bearer in the 155lb division in the UFC
Also his reasoning for moving to Tejas is such bullshit. He cited "bad leadership" in CA so he moves to where Abbott, Ken Paxton, and Ted Cruz are in charge?
Would've had a lot more respect for him if he just came out and said he signed a $120 million Spotify deal and didn't want to pay income tax in CA on it.

Correct. When it was him bullshitting about with other comedians is when it was the best. Those old episodes with Uncle Joey are classic.
Absolutely. Even when it was mostly him and Eddie telling old BJJ stories those were so neat to listen to. Until Eddie would inevitably go off on a flat earth tirade and Joe would have to tell him he was being dumb
For sure Eddie has got some brain damage. Dude knows his shit when it comes to the fight stuffs but holy shit is he off his rocker otherwise.
His stories are seriously the best.
If you feel up to it he's basically doing his life story on the honeydew podcast. They started with how his parents got here all the way up to I think the mid gloryhole era at this point.

That's the last one I listened to. It sucks that Shane wasn't really allowed to be funny on it because Rogan is terrible at interviewing comedians, and is generally not good at interviewing period even though he often gets good guests.
By the way, Matt and Shane's Secret Podcast (what Shane got fired from SNL for) is fucking hilarious. Once you get the hang of what they're up to you'll never stop wondering how you lived without it. Matt McCusker is a national treasure.

his interviews are far longer than they need to be because his interviewing style lacks depth, because he lacks depth
because it’s an emotional reaction and not an intellectual one
rogan caters to pseudo-intellectuals, conspiracy theorists, and douchebags. plenty of those around. always startling to see just how many, but after the last few national elections the number won’t ever be surprising again
