Next week I'm off. Then just my birthday later this year.
Had to use the rest of it last April for the move.

i have a hard time justifying taking a day off unless i'm actually going out of town or something. i work from home and my job is pretty laid back, i can fuck off in the middle of the day if i want and it's all good

I do not get paid for time off nor sick time. I work enough hours between the two agencies it works out though.
Luckily the new system we’re switching to will gave sick time and vacation time. I am more concerned about others than myself. I am paid for doing what I do unpaid.

I am a caregiver. Usually i work in multiple houses with elderly dementia clients and disabled clients. With covid families didn't want extra people so I am only with my brother who is severely understaffed. All agencies are understaffed and it affects clients like my brother.

I’ve got like 8 weeks of paid time off saved up. They allocate more the more hours you work and it rolls over each year - so as long as you Don’t max it out each year you can really start to bank quite a lot. One of these days I’ll take like 2 months and go bum around Europe or something.

i have 3 weeks banked still
i got an email from HR hassling me because in violation of company policy, i have not yet taken a full week off this year. so i have to burn some time between now and december, i guess

My old company had a use it or lose it policy so they always hassled people (you also only got two weeks a year). Current employer doesn’t seem to care if you use it or not.

i get 4 weeks, that's in addition to bank holidays, sick and personal time. they only let you carry over 2 weeks, which i pretty much always do. i think i got close to my annual bonus in PTO cashout this year, thanks to the 2 extra weeks of sick time we got when everything blew up last spring
