No sir. In america its a thing for old people to retire and move to florida for the year long warm weather. I know some old folks that live here that have two houses. They will stay in incest adventure park during the summer, and during winter they head to florida

Re: I want to buy a boathouse in florida for the winter
Florida doesn’t have shop lifting gangs, mass homeless in major cities, and people can afford to live there
you're delusional if you don't think there are a shit load of homeless people in Florida.
They aren’t in people’s yards
California is known as one of the top places regarding homelessness it is also legal to shoplift up to 900 it is why businesses are leaving san francisco

'businesses' leaving SF is really just 'walgreens' who was going to close the stores anyway - this was announced in an 8K filing in 2019. this 'shoplifting epidemic' is largely a scam narrative being propped up by the rightwing media sphere whose ultimate objective is quite simple: destroy the SF DA and throw more people in prison
adam johnson has written a couple essential pieces on it

in my experience whenever shoplifting became a major problem it was usually directly related to organized crime (steal all of X product, resell X product on the black market at a steep discount). my old store in florida used to get hit every so often by groups who would come in complete with lookouts. you usually didn't even notice until they already split and had to look at the camera footage. even if they were identified, they were smart because these people never hit the same place twice. the odd person stealing food was insignificant in comparison.

they are reducing hours because that is what retail stores do: punish the handful of people they actually do give hours to by forcing them to make do with inadequate resources. it is strictly to pad the bottom line. the fact they're reducing hours gives away the game, walgreens does not care one bit about the shoplifting. if they regarded it as a serious problem, they would be increasing store hours because proper staffing levels massively reduces shoplifting opportunities.

reduction in hours has zero to do with shoplifting. that is directly related to staffing issues that is being seen nationwide. I think people really underestimated how many people left retail and the service industry during the pandemic, on top of how many people have been permanently removed from the labor population due to covid deaths, and long term health issues of covid-survives who cannot return to work. not to mention parents (who I don't blame one bit) that don't want their teens working in these environments thanks to antivaxxers. its a shit show that certain portions of our population have decided to make worse.

The stores themselves said its shoplifting not staffing. Maybe its a combination i just do not understand why people think crime doesn’t impact business and in turn jobs. I don’t think some understand my stance on this either
We can all agree texas’s abortion law is bullshit though.

Mine keep trying to justify it. I come from a healthcare background I keep telling them many conditions you aren’t aware of until second trimester not to mention most women wouldn’t know they are pregnant at 6 weeks.
