I can’t stand musicals but I’m still down to watch something like phantom of the opera if it’s at least an interesting story with good music. Sadly most of the genre is utter garbage.

I do find it a bit strange that someone would specifically Hate “period pieces” though.

The trailers are a bit misleading, as usual with such films. But do watch it.

film of the year 2022 is a massive toss up between THE NORTHMAN and EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE

and such different films and touching on different interests of mine, and different parts of my life and history, 2022 was a good meaningful fucking cinematic year

you know they rerecorded nearly all the dialogue to the northman in post-production, because the original norse dialect the actors used was deemed "too complicated" by round after round of test viewers. i wish there was an existing original version with the norse dialect.
