Verbal even if people act confident, get passionate etc the truth us 99% of us aren’t that confident in what we say. We get emotional (i possibly more than most) with politics because we are unsure of the future and change scares us especially when we feel it could be for the worse. Politics is a lot of speculation and its arrogant to assume there aren’t a lot of gray areas.

Its easy to get whipped into a frenzy when everyone is constantly scream its doomsday.

i will clarify: the impression i have is that most people are, or at least act as if they are, way more confident in the things they claim than they could possibly justify. and are not interested in discussing the issue, or in justifying their point of view, but only in asserting their point of view. im thinking mostly about political or healthcare issues, but this is not restricted to these areas
