its been a little different every night, i really need to become disciplined with it because i feel like my body is not adjusting as easily as it once did and i feel like crap all the time. i actually have a consultation with a sleep doc tomorrow to see if i need to be tested for sleep apnea

i think the last few nights were like:
mon: 7pm to 3am
tues: 10pm to 4:40am
wed: 11pm to 9am (wtf)

also have an appointment coming up with a specialist to finally check out my throat, i'm actually excited about that one. i really expected this issue to go away but its been the longest health issue i've ever had, two years now. it basically caused me to stop working on music since i can't do vocals :homework:

Do you have your own working hours Zim?

kind of. i work from home and our office operates from 9 to 5 but as long as i'm getting work done and responding to emails on time then it doesn't really matter when i work. if i'm sleeping through the day i will still need to wake up for any scheduled meetings and stuff. i am very grateful for this job but it's not great for my already poor discipline haha

Mine are 22:00 to 05:00 basically.
Getting up routine is 30 min to 1 hour workout, shower, dog walk, cawfee and work.

The worst are shift changes for a long time ive been 10 - 6 am but tgeyve been changing me 2 pm to 10 and 8 am tob6 pm

The random or no schedule shit is super annoying. The working from home has seemingly disoriented everyone.

i've been working from home for 2 years now. i think it's great if you're disciplined, otherwise it can quickly become dysfunctional.

there wasn't a ton of social interaction in my office pre-pandemic but i did enjoy what there was. i miss the separation of work and home but i don't know if i could ever go back

I worked as a paraeducator (with adults very taxing) before basically having a huge meltdown and health crisis forcing me to take a medical leave. I got cleared to go back to work with a service dog. I put the request to move to work k - 2 with my dog december 2019 and they denied it.

Long story short there was a lot of drama because that did not happen the legal way I came out on top thankfully during the pandemic and ended up working with my brother and one other client who is equally lovely and loves my dog. Im also back up for brothers shifts.

I find working from home to be very lonely I love my client she is a lovely lady and obviously I love my brother but it isnt the same as having peers or coworkers. Plus things change all the time.

sleeping normally is a good thing :santa:

zim maybe you had crazy sleeps before because you subconsciously needed something to spice up the boring routine of working from home

at home with my woman i sleep 11pm - 7am usually, sometimes 12-8

but doing fieldwork the last month it is 10-6

mind you i rarely sleep the full 8, but more than the 7

It’s currently 3:31am and I’ve been awake since 2:30. Every night this week has been like this. This week at work has been super stressful. Way more than normal. Yesterday specifically. Can’t wait to see the shitshow that will be today.
