Im always behind just watched The Wailing, cooties, stitches, tucker and dale gs evil, and Train to Busan

i went to see fast x with my fellating lover this past weekend haven't watched much else in the last few weeks, but i think i am going to put something on tonight.

i am going to cambridge next week to see fantastic planet in the theater. it is an experimental french animated film from the early 70s, i am psyched

i've been wanting to go to the theater lately but keep sarding

i can't remember the last time i watched a movie

that is a classic film, been over 10yrs since i watched it

as for me, last night i watched legend, cos i am staying with my 12yr old sister and she had never seen it. it went down OK, but you can notice the generational difference

Not like I used to, unfortunately. I did see Beau is Afraid, and Paprika in theatres recently. Wife is gone for the weekend so I'm gonna get down on some Lynch

that is a wild film to see with your mum. those lads marched straight into the welcoming arms of death at full mast.

it was recommended to me by the lady I went to the tim hacker show with. she was a film history grad student, she has been providing an abundance of good suggestions. that is who I will be seeing fantastic planet with, good times abound

So I was right, she fucking Joey diazed you for shits and giggles.

fantastic planet was excellent, very fun and strange. they had a 35mm print of it, and while I'm not sure what that actually means in practical terms, they made sure to mention as much in the introduction. they did a discussion/Q&A session afterward and we had a lot of fun hating on the audience reactions. I would've liked to hear more about the production arrangement between a french filmmaker and the czech animators in the late 60s

i am tremendously fond of her, we went to sisters of mercy last night and i had a fantastic time. currently uncertain if the feeling is mutual but i felt the night ended on a good note, time will tell. she has been righteously indoctrinated with some MABB related lore, as the subject of the the official city of the chicago cubs trip came up during dinner

Only a few times and it's all classics. I think I watched one of the Sean Connery Bond movies and The Negotiator last week.

No new movies and aside from The Irishman, I don't think I was ever interested in a new movie in the last 5 years.

nice on kiki, love all them, great to watch with kids the right age especially

all quiet on the western front was OK, just OK. some cool bits. but didn't really add much to the existing WWI movies ... except that it's more german

Re-watched Interstellar in 4K the other day. Some plot and character issues aside, especially towards the end, it's still a magnificent film. Unmatched scope and ambition.

The wife hadn't seen most of the Star Trek movies - so started in the beginning and worked our way forward - forgot that a few of them are actually quite good while others are a big meh.

Also, sometimes I'll stumble across a classic film that somehow I never saw or it's just been so long that it's worth a re-watch - such as
The Untouchables (somehow never saw this movie, it was great!)

went to the theater tonight and saw coda, it was a nice one

just watched the sounds of science, a selection of jean painleve's films soundtracked by yo la tengo. very fun

editing to add that i also just watched the french connection. also very fun, but points docked for not drawing out the intelligence connections. many people making films in this period knew!

Just watched Casino again. Always a fun movie to back to.



This scene and the accompanying song still kicks ass.
