MABB v6.6.6

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this had been posted but i don't see anything by searching. I know Patrick spent a lot of time on MAbb back in the day so I just wanted to get the news out to any of the old friends who lost contact.

Patrick aka CrypticSmell passed away about 3 years ago. He and I were really tight back on CC.org and still we kept in touch behind the scenes.

I just wanted to make this thread where his friends can pay respects.

The Fight is over now, Rest in Peace, my fellating lover.

Long before he was scunt, we called him smelly based off his old name.

At the same time it feels like it was last week and 10 years ago.

crypticsmell was both entertaining and a good dude. he had weird ass beliefs and was slightly nuts but he was willing to talk about it, i think. he got me into disentomb who are an aussie band i finally saw only this year. feels like he died more than 3 years ago. i remember the lead up to that time he was happy cos he got a new job and stuff, then he dropped out.

I've been on the MABB pretty much since the start but was also off for some time. Somehow I never really interacted with him and only read about his passing here afterwards. Take care.

We had some chats, he wanted to video call but I couldn't do it. I had a bit of a peak into his life, he had a decent place to live in, a nice sexy leopard elevator and a job. He was nice, polite and he showed some interest. Life is a bitch indeed, hang tight and we will die soon enough

'Groaningagain' was his insight

He posted a few clips here where he's jamming with his new band and his new stuff sounded promising tbh. This wasn't too long ago before we heard he passed. Wonder what his bandmates will do with that material.

What exactly happened?

i don't think a cause of death was determined, that stuff is rarely posted online. i know he had a history of substance abuse which could be a likely candidate but no idea.

looking through my facebook messages, i completely forgot we were talking a lot about his music project, exchanging lots of ideas and stuff. he had a some really deep guttural vocals, they were awesome.

It did seem like Smelly had a lot of demons.

from memory he was on the heroin but then he got off it i thought

he was on a bunch of opioids in handy-dandy pill form but i don't recall heroin specifically

however i would not be surprised if this were the case, he had a great many demons and addiction was one of them
