the hunter stuff has been public knowledge since obama was in office (maybe even earlier? i'd have to double check that one). nothing happened then, nothing happened during the bag of diarrhea inside another, bigger bag of diarrhea years, what fruits do you think an investigation will bear when his father, who is directly implicated in the affair, occupies the white house? it's partisan mudslinging to fire up conservative voters and that's all it was ever going to amount to. nobody is going to do anything about hunter, nor jared or ivanka or the rest of the bag of diarrhea inside another, bigger bag of diarrhea clan or anyone else who profits handsomely from their proximity to the heights of the empire's management suite.

the afghan withdrawal was tr.ump's policy, it was structured and timed specifically to happen during term 2/biden's term because it was going to be a blowup no matter what. the 'chaos' of the withdrawal was instigated by the US military & intelligence IMO to help ensure the continuation of covert ops in the region, and also to punish the political leadership for diverting the gravy train. puppet presidents don't get to just up and leave with suitcases full of cash unless they're allowed to.
the sad reality is it doesn't much matter who you throw in the office. no elected official can meaningfully restrain the out-of-control war machine from within. at best, you might kick one particular conflict down the road a bit until the factions favoring it find their way back into the driver's seat. while the US pursues what appears to be a new stage in the total liquidation of the palestinian people, the political leadership is already preparing another massive round of funding to bolster the ongoing war against russia, and to further develop the prospective conflict with china over taiwan.
the domestic propaganda machine is running at full capacity and between all the various conflicts, they all have their popular constituencies. if there is to be another global conflagration on the scale of previous world wars, it is so overdetermined at this point as to be inevitable. there is no countervailing force within the US that can resist it. the antiwar movement had its last gasp in 2003 as it was decisively crushed, having achieved nothing. what exists now is a sideshow organized by alt-media shitheads to corral whatever trace energies remain into rallies and demonstrations that only serve to promote their own narrow interests, there is no actual movement-building or organizational strategy.
there is no silver lining and there is no lesser evil. america is an ever-compounding horror whose intensity and grotesqueness will only continue to grow until it finally exhausts itself. all we can do is wait and watch. you can vote if it makes you feel better or whatever, but it really sincerely does not matter one bit.
