Got down to Richmond about 3 hours ago. Did a little adventuring and dinner. Now is beers and relax at the airbnb.

Tomorrow is more adventures in the day time and asg show at night.

Sunday is a long ass drive from Richmond to Hanover, PA for d&d!

D&D :xx:

for me this weekend was...

friday night, went for a run, ordered korean, worked until 11:30PM
saturday morning, take my niece to ballet and drama class, work all day, phone call with my mother in afternoon, dinner at the in-laws (shrimp curry, at my request)
sunday morning, 2.5hrs of Baldur's Gate 3 with my Australian overseas buddies, then spend the afternoon with the ball and chain, go for a run

i like saturday mornings because i get to read a book for an hour and a half while my niece is in class, it is relaxing

• Working on remastering and remixing my debut album from 1999, ready for a digital re-release on Bandcamp once it's done to my satisfaction.
• Cycling at least 40 km
• Perfecting my chili recipe
• Drinking beer to go with the test chilis
• Rewiring one of my Strats with new pickups
• Re-sealing one of my downstairs windows as I can feel a draught
• Enjoying tomorrow's lie in, since tonight is when the clocks go back in the UK

I did some vintage toy hunting today whilst I adventured around the city. Came across some shit I rarely ever see back home. Got a few things to add to the ein collection.

The show was fanfuckingtastic. I was already a fan of freedom hawk, but seeing them live is a whole different thing. ASG pretty much played the hits as expected but they fucking killed it. Had a chat with Jonah and Scott before I left the venue. With the way they've dropped on being an active touring band, I really hope I can catch them again before they call it quits for good.

Heh...I think one aspect of being autistic is that it presents almost like ADHD in many respects, in that you always have to be doing something or you start climbing the walls in fairly short order. Sometimes it's two things. I can't just watch a film, I have to practice guitar or be sketching music or ideas for Warhammer models while I'm doing so...or if I'm modelling, I have to listen to music or a podcast or whatever at the same time...I love sleeping & dreaming (my dreams are always full colour and sound, and I lucid dream so it's usually pretty interactive) but if I'm awake than I need to fill those moments with enough input to be satisfying or I feel like I've wasted the time.

There's always something new to learn, to hear, to taste, to understand, to read, to make...whatever. I'm not one of those '"Sleep when you're dead!" loons by any means - I spend far too much time sleeping & dreaming to be one of those, and we're still learning just how important sleep is to the sane functioning of a human being - but I hate feeling like I've wasted time. Time is the only commodity you can never buy.
