The updated consensus I heard over NPR this afternoon had the power of the explosion as equivalent to 300000 tons of TNT. They're pretty lucky it didn't do that quite a bit lower to the ground.
Maybe now politicians will wake the fuck up and realize space agencies and astronomers aren't bullshitting for more budget money when they say meteor impacts are a real threat we should plug some focus and resources to.
