what kills me is that there are actually people out there who argue against instant replay in baseball.
MLB has got to be the worst officiated pro sports league in the world.

People always use the tradition and pace of the game as reasons for no instant replay. I don't think you need it for calling balls and strikes but shit like this is a clear reason for it

.

instant replay wouldn't "disrupt" the flow of baseball. They scratch balls and spit while walking out of the box between each and ever pitch. replay wouldn't harm shit, it would help tremendously and if it fits any sports, its baseball.

I'm one of the keep the tradition alive assholes
For me it's more a matter of not taking the game all that seriously because...it's just a game. I can see how and why the gambling community maintains the opinion that they do, but for me a certain degree of error is just part of the sport, and I like it because it's so human.
The NFL reviews are a joke with the amount of time they take, and the analysis is so fucking tedious. I almost always get up and leave for a while when the coach throws that flag onto the field. I hope something similar doesn't happen to baseball. A system like what they do with tennis would be acceptable but still wouldn't feel right.

Anyone who thinks it shouldn't be taken seriously shouldn't have a say in its rules and protocols.
