This is so incredibly absurd. It has NOTHING to do with religion, not even with Islam. There's nothing in the Qur'an that tells you to do this kind of shit. Just like there's nothing in the Bible that says you should burn women because you think they're witches, etc. It's just culture and humanity gone astray and poisoned. Religion completely taken out of it's context and misinterpreted by the immense failing of the human mind and ego. I'd say kill every one of them with the same stone they had in their hands... Religion isn't really an excuse, it's the prime motivator, let's not lose focus. In a world without religion, evil people do evil deeds, but with religion even decent relatively sane people can live fine accepting and even condoning fruital punishment for "sinners", after all God doesn't love them, so they're not entitled to dignity. Killing and treating infidels like shit is fair game in the eyes of teh Lawd.

Where? Is that right after the part where he's telling his disciples that children should never be harmed, and that if anyone led a child astray, that person might as well be drowned?



Now I'm not saying I'm a fan of Christians. But the stuff Christ taught (if he's not fictional) was originally the Abrahamic approximation of Zen Buddhism, and I don't have many major problems with it in that form. It was all about doing good deeds and how you should love everyone else, forgiveness, stuff like that. And then Rome came along and adopted Christianity as its official religion, and massively adapted it to suit its own political purposes.

It wasn't really a comparison to begin with. Some of us just said that sort of behavior and cruelty is primely motivated by religious thinking, and not exclusively Islamic. Many Christian mobs have beaten and dragged women out on the street for infidelity/witchcraft/other stuff as well, so it's not worth the trouble distinguishing between one or the other. As a Christian, it would be hypocritical. As a non-Christian, why the hell are you defending the religion?



and why would you start believing in God when you get old after a whole life of not caring? Does death scare you that much? Kinda proves the idea that belief is a crutch, no offense.
