For some reason it is listed under comedies on Netflix.  I know there are lighthearted lines and scenes in it, but I don't remember most of it even being an attempt at humor.

Black comedy is best comedy.

I just re-watched this - possibly for the first time since seeing it in the theaters.  I think if it were remade today it would be about three hours long, and no aspect of the plot would have been left to the imagination.
