I know some of you from nilechat, and you seem like a pretty cool lot. Finally decided to join up here.







PS: I'm pretty sure I've got an existing account (Haunted by Wraiths) here from mabb 2.x that I posted on once or twice. I'll be going back to that when the DB is back up.

I don't know if the DB will be coming back up at all. But either way, welcome and make yourself at home here. I've always found you cool over there.

I picked up on the maybe/maybe not with the DB after I posted this. I would've edited my post to reflect that, but I went out for a cig, and sard occurred when I got back in. Oh well...





Anyway, thanks. You've seemed like a pretty cool hard-on bearer when I've seen you on nilechat. Seems like a bit more of a mature/older crowd over here, which I think might be kind of a relief.

speaking of age, who is the youngest poster here? is it me and my whopping 19 years of age?

I'm 25, and most of the guys I know from nilechat are around there somewhere.

I said that same thing to some friends who decided to go black. Haven't heard from them in a while.







But yeah, so far I can't complain. Seems a lot more laid-back here.

Nilechat was my first board, but the reason why I joined ironically enough is because of the people here on the MABB. When they all stopped posting there, I turned to the MABB and found them. So I became an MABBer and never looked back.

So how'd you know the mabbers in the first place if you signed up for nilechat?

a good bulk of them were regulars there back in the spring and summer of 2005. Around autumn, almost all of them stopped posting and nilechat started to suck. I discovered the MABB 2.0 in it's early stage and realized that they were all there. This includes Devy, Skinner, Nick, Stormy, Ninny, Ryan, Joth, Feetarse, and a few others.

yeah, in the early days of both boards there was a ton of overlap. after the original morbidangelchat.com disappeared at the end of 2004, we did a mass invasion of nilechat, and in the process drove a lot of the oldschool nile-exclusive posters away. we also took quite a few others back with us to the next incarnation of the MABB

When he first signed up on the MABB, I made a "HOLY SHIT IT'S JOHNNY FUCKING GLEESO!" thread, despite having absolutely no idea who he was. Nor did anyone else for that matter, but they all joined in.



The continued every time he logged on for a while, each time with more elaborate and over-the-top praise for this person we didn't know. Strangely though, he hung around and now we're at this stage.

a big mix of good and bad. School and work are the same old same old. But my social life has been a wild roller coaster. But hey, I'm living my life.
