I know this one might be a little far-fetched. But has anyone noticed the similarities between these two albums in both song writing, sound, image, year of release etc?

David and Trey was fans of Sarcófago back then, I have a Sarcófago album with a picture of David and Trey holding up a Sarcófago t-shirt. David is wearing a inverted Sarcófago shirt in this picture:
They have they same kind of outfit but Sarcófago is a very mediocre bands IMO. They play bad, the production is boring and the lyrics are lame.

There is definitely no comparison between Sarcófago and Morbid Angel quality wise. But I just found it funny. Both albums got released in 1991, both was the first album for each band to mix very slow tempos with really fast stuff, both have a classical influence, both have a very similar drum sound etc.

I love Sarcofago, but I don't think The Laws of Scourge sounds like Morbid Angel at all.
I much prefer I.N.R.I. anyway, that album is raw as fucking fuck.

I overlooked this band, like many more South American bands. Probably great atmosphere but sloppy playing.
Sarcofago used to jam with the Sepultura boys as kids, lateron they got deviant.

Wagner Antichrist used to be the singer of Sepultura.

I don't like the naive childish imagery of bands like Sarcófago and other early brazilian bands
