just a thought

I was thinking about it, maybe he didn't agree on some of the material but he really seems to like some electronic music.Someone should ask him about his opinion on Illud.

"I mean yeah, it's different, but it's definitely cool! I knew the guys were always into electronic and industrial music, so this isn't really a surprise. I mean, you can't just play death metal forever, right? Stuffs gotta change. I'm happy with the new direction they took. It's new, it's interesting. It's definitely some cool stuff."

Seems interesting to find out what The Commando has written for Illud.

If you say so... There's only a problem: Pete likes that kind of music.

That's not a problem. Pete's the one who likes some quality industrial stuff. I bet if he'd had a hand in this one, the hardcore tracks would've been much heavier and possibly interesting.

i think he has serious back issues and couldnt play on it

but there are videos of him like 6 months ago, playing pretty fruital for about 3 minutes, showing he was getting back in the swing of things. surely he could of pulled something like i am morbid off in the studio

if i remember correctly the stuff he played in that video was wicked simple

IMO that is Illud's greatest offense: other than a few "that's an interesting noise" moments, it's not interesting at all. I think that's even worse than being cheesy, it's just BORING. It could have been the album we never wanted to hear, but if it at least it were thought provoking musically...but it isn't.

a little more than i remembered, but you will notice he doesn't do much with his feet either. with a major back problem the legs would be harder to do & harder on the body than the hands



plus even if he plays on the album there's still the rigor of touring to consider. all that travel & soundchecking & having to sit on a throne for 90-ish minutes a night is really hard when you've got herniated discs
