Pete on IDI: "I probably shouldn't say anything."

Translation:

G: Greetings Pete, I guess you've been asked this before, but I didn't see anything on your wall about it. What do you think of the latest MA?

P: I probably shouldn't say anything. No comments, my friends :) I'll leave that to all the followers (he may just mean "fans" here), they can figure out what they want to do, in the meantime, I'm only focused on the next year with a new Terrorizer album and the world tour we're going to do, that's what I'm looking forward to! Cheers my brother!

"Mejor me quedo callado" literally is "it's best if I keep quiet" but the connotation is more like "it would be bad if I say something," if that makes sense. It sounds like he is not into it (as has been implied before) but I give him a lot of credit for not saying it flat out.

Actually, something I didn't catch until just now: he says "eso se lo dejo a todos SUS seguidores." Sus = THEIR. "I leave that to THEIR fans." Not "our fans" or "the fans..." but THEIR fans.

Yeah, I have seen the k thing but never got it, doesn't make sense to me! But I can say...IDI es una huevada!

I find all of these very strange. At first he was very vocal about his dislike of the new material. Now he responded to a fan saying that the album would have sounded the same whether he was playing in it or not because that is Morbid A ngel.

Did he get reprimanded by Trey when they went back to Tampa? Who knows. Morbid A ngel keeps stating that he is still a part of the group buy yet all he talks about is Terrorizer and playing live with them (Terrorizer) again.

By the way, where are you from? As far as I know huevada is only used in South America, are you?

I don't think it would sound different if Pete was on the album, but for me he is still a part of Morbid and no question about it

maybe he though over his attitude and decided that condemning his own band is not the best idea, this was too much like "I'm not on the album so it sucks, every album with me on drums is better" (which is actually true)

Totally agree, it doesn't look good when you go around slamming your band. I also think that the record would have sounded the same regardless of who drums. That is what Trey and David wrote and that is what we got. Good or bad is up to each ones opinion, I pretty much doubt Pete has that much of a say on what is done under the Morbid A ngel name.

For Pete to make a 'no comment' type reply on Illud is pretty damning. Even if he didn't just come out and go 'yeah, it's pish.', his relucance to make any kind of noise at all about it speak volumes.

I don't think Pete is going to return to MA personally.

Interesting, I never saw any of the posts where he was vocal about it.

I was born in the U.S., live here now, but have Bolivian parents and went to high school in Santiago, Chile.

What does electronica have to do with IDI?

Nothing.

Liking electronic music does not mean one must like IDI.

This.

Also, liking some genre of music doesn't mean he likes the idea of heavily mixing said genre into a Morbid A.ngel album. There are people on this board that like Marilyn Manson, but aren't into having MM sounding stuff on a Morbid record.

Really? I'm glad he's not. The stink of I.llud will not wash off easily. It's like when you fuck a chick that's known to be really skanky. How many other chicks in your social circle want your dick after that?

Im saying I would've been willing to wait another year for pete to fully recover and for them to put out a real album. That is a good skank reference though, fuck the other day i was drunk and... ok nevermind lets try to stay on topic

I would've been willing to wait until I die for them to put out a real album. Not having a new Morbid A.ngel album sucks, but having I.llud is worse.

I totally agree! And putting out illud just ruined who they are, I mean back 15 years ago who would say morbid angel was gay and put out one of the worst albums of all time? It would've been better if they just hadn't released it.

I just read that the song Bodies by Drowning Pool was used to force interrogations out of prisoners in Guantanamo Bay. They should start using radikult instead.
"The song was used by interrogators at the Guantanamo Bay detention camps in 2003. "Bodies" was repeatedly played over a 10 days period during interrogation of Mohamedou Ould Slahi while he was "exposed to variable lighting patterns" at the same time.[1][2]
Ironically, some of the Guantanamo inmates actually had been living hardcore radikal before they were captured.
