Pete has a fairly wide jaw line which can create the illusion of chubbyness in the face, from a distance, also his hair is making a shadow on the outside of his face obscuring some facial definition. He's also wearing a coat which is masking his skinny frame .

The little leaf in front of his chin makes it look like he has a little beard.

to be honest though at a glance it kind of looks like erik

everyone knows Eric was not there during formulas
