"Fall from grace" spoken part

Haven't found this on this forum ! I was wondering what was the lyrics for the spoken part at the end of "Fall from grace", and I've seen this on the web:

I ride the flesh and the sinners of hell

I am belial

I bend knee not before my selfish desire

But it doesn't really fit what I'm hearing. I was rather thinking of that:

I writhe in the flesh and the sins of hell

I am Belial

I bend my need not (?) before my selfish desire

What do you think ?

Me too, but there is doubt between 'arrive' and 'writhe'.

'Writhe in the flesh' was already used before, so it makes sense.

no, no, I know that. I just mean I don't know why that means it makes sense.

Indeed. It's not a far-fetched assumption, so I don't understand why that question is asked.

A little sonographic EQ'ing, some artifacts, distortion but it also helps isolate the vocal.

I stand by my above post

I don't hear "thou" at all, to me it's clearly "hell" with a pronounced H and E.

I don't hear "my own selfish desire", only "my selfish desire"

Lastly I can sort of hear "I bend ONE knee not, but for my selfish desire", instead of the word "my", but it's probably "my".

Verbal why so grumpy? :santa:

This is the MA forum no? So we talk about all things MA. If I made a mistake assuming it is the MA forum my deep apologies.

If it is the MA forum and you are posting just to refute our activities then you should apologize with hand written letters to us all.

And I want to see lipstick marks at the end of your letter to show you still care!

Yea I'm hearing Thou, Hell just sounds too weird for me pronounced that way. You are right 100% about "own" though, I added that by mistake.

One, my...not sure.

I was thinking of a funny aspect of this sort of thing. The aspect of "suggestion" either through perceptual phenomenon or through ambiguity

such as in our case. The Mcgurk Effect came to me. Even in this case of ambiguity, suggestion is alive and well based on the differences

of each of our perceptions and then how we and our inner perception; our visualization runs with what another suggests the lyric could be.

Ever since some of ya suggested "hell" my ear would bend what I've always heard into hell if I was really inclined to settle on the lyric being hell. lol

Good stuff!
