Sorry for posting this, as it's probably been discussed to death already. But gimme a break, I've been away for quite some time



For those that can be bothered, how do you rate the album?

I actually haven't listened to it yet, and I'm strangely excited to hear about your opinions before forming my own.

I've read quite a few articles on the web concerning the album and "mixed" reactions would be an understatement.

Go give it a listen let your subconscious flow with it then form your own opinions, others opinions are for others

In my opinion Trey pulled some real great solos in some tracks the music basically just dont fits with my taste, heretic was full of pretty weird lovecraftian riffs, Ilud holds a total opposite fell, but its just mine opinion. The music that trey created in it must be what bring him happiness, thats his point of view, his choice. But one thing i am sure about he did it for himself just like he did from the start he didnt do it for money for fame, he is way above than that and will always be. Hail mighty Azagthoth

Whatever reasons they made that album, it has very few redeemable qualities, and the ones that are will only make you want to listen to it a couple of times and that's it. A generous 4/10

i did a play-by-play of my reaction listening to the album the first time. i was already having a rough morning thanks to a hangover, and then i discovered the new MA had leaked:

I am liking 50% of illud

for me, best and favorite songs is blades for baal, 10 more dead

Nevermore & Existo Vulgore arn't bad. Blades for baal & 10 more dead sound like meh leftovers from previous albums. The rest never happened, simply does not exist.



Also, the band retired a few years ago.

I haven't listened to this album since about a year ago and only songs I remember are Too Extreme, 10 more dead, Radikult and Destructos. Not that those are the best. I don't think I'll listen to IDI anytime soon.

i listened to i on the day it came out and was amazed and flabbergasted and haven't listened to it since. and i probably never ever will, and i am fine with closing that door

A decent EP

Every now and then I pull up a song or two for a riff or solo I liked off the album. Parts of it are surprisingly catchy, but as a whole it's just too fucking goofy to bother with, which is due in large part to David Vincent.
