MABB v6.6.6

Trey has been cancelling shows the past few years. They haven't played any shows since 2019, and haven't done anything since. Trey seems uninterested in playing or recording anything. He would rather goof around on his youtube channel, posting movie clips, anime and Quake III stuff.

Meanwhile David VIncent's I AM MORBID are active and touring.

I have been wondering if Morbid Angel are pretty much done

They should be.

trey is almost 60, dude is probably over it by now. would rather him not tour than go out and half ass it.

yeah the touring magic may be over, but i think they could crack out another album, i really like K

Maybe Trey will call it quits with Morbid Angel and join I Am Morbid


On a side note: when I typed "I Am Morbid" on google (I wasn't 100% sure of the band's name) one of the first suggestions in the search bar that came up was "I am morbidly obese"

pretty much... or most likely... doing the same thing for over 30 years seems taxing. But who knows? I hoped they would get to M at least.
Also, has he made more of that electronic music of his or just uploaded what he had on his myspace?

Well, they just announced a US tour for 2023 as of today. Who knows, maybe Trey logged into this forum and saw my post, and it inspired them to book a tour. LOL anyway, I hope they don't cancel. It's another US tour, no dates outside the US, is there still a visa problem?

I think Trey and David must have come to some sort of mutual understanding regarding territories seeing as how I Am Morbid only ever plays Europe and Russia.

Though I wouldn’t be surprised if Trey has some visa issues, seeing as how Morbid Angel also hadn’t playing Central or South America in a long time (or Canada for that matter)….

i wouldn't be surprised if david is skirting some legal issues with the europe touring or something, i remember seeing somewhere that trey's mom posted something saying david wasn't allowed to perform that music? i don't remember

When David Vincent's I AM MORBID, first came out, they had a promo pic for one of their shows, and it had a picture that was similar to the album artwork of Altars of Madness. Trey's mom was furious about that and thought they were coming out with an album with that picture etc. Trey's mom did an audio interview later on where she said believes David is talented and he can do what he wants but she was offended at that promo picture and that I AM MORBID were going to play Trey's songs.

Those guitarists in I Am Morbid suck and play a lot of the parts wrong... it's fucked up. How did any of Morbid Angel's legacy become such a joke?

Trey is almost 60, drinks on a daily basis by his own admission, and smokes. You've all seen the videos. I don't see him living for that much longer.
