MABB v6.6.6

It's been 8 years since it was released. Trey's old now, and he doesn't seem to be all there physically and mentally. We're all old now, and the death metal scene is well... dead.

I kind of hope so, to be honest. Trey doesn't seem really into it anymore. If they can somehow pull an amazing album out of their collective arses, great, I'm all for it. Otherwise, I'm not interested. I found K pretty damned average at best so I'm not hopeful.

K is average compared to other MA albums, but it's still better than a lot of DM in general.

i'm completely okay with no more albums. morbid angel's discography is still better than most of what's out there today and cannot be fucked with

The last 2 albums kinda came out of nowhere.

Only three albums released in 23 years doesn't really bode well either.

But yeah, if they're done, they're done. I'll always have A to G to jam and appreciate forever.

I don't hate or actively dislike H. It's just not to my taste at all. I don't care for most of the songwriting and the production is poop. Mind you, it stands head and shoulders above everything that's come since.

The production has it's own charm and you shan't talk shit about it

We're lucky to have had Formulas and Gateways, there was a bit of a dip there with Vincent leaving and Domination not being of the level of A,B&C. Tucker was a good match, any other replacement might have failed. His lyrics aren't so great though, I want Satan or the Ancient Ones
I didn't really like anything after Gateways and that's been 25 years

I like both eras of MA but I prefer the original Vincent era. I remember being fucking excited when it was announced that David had returned circa late 2004. Like fucking stoked. And what did we get? Years on end of touring with the same setlist and then a massive pile of feces for a new album.

yes, the return of dave was exciting for the first tour since i wasn't around for the original run. and then it was all downhill from there
