Although i have to say that GotF is somewhat different track , a stand alone if you will, on Gateways, it is a most fruital track.

Rutan again proves to be a most worthy addition to MA!!

And indeed, those rythmparts are wicked!

It's the only song on Gateways i really like.

that reaaaaaally fast kick drum part is Pro Tools yes (midi notes, 16th's)

Pete wanted to do triplets, if I remember correctly, and Trey wanted full 16ths going on; so, in post-production, Trey did some trickery and filled it in.

and after that i've heard pete refuses to play it live

that's not true; they played it live here in Tilburg during the first G tour. But Pete played that part in triplets - which actually sounded awesome!

I must admit I was disappointed. Pete probably couldn't do the ultrafast kickdrums which I think is one of the -many- great moments on Gateways..

Bil ur sag was already done live again, so I expect there will be more of the Tucker albums done in the future.

Agreed. There's too many great songs on F, G and H for them to be completely excluded from the setlist.



Maybe MA should do one of those things where a band gets their fans to vote for a setlist.

As well as Secured Limitations, are there any other songs with Trey on vocals?



The vocals on Invocation to the Continual One sound too high for Steve Tucker. It sounds like both Steve and Trey tracked vocals in exactly the same places to get that vocal effect. Anyone know any more?

Invocation is also done by Trey. Not sure if Steve is mixed in it, it is a dual vocal thing.

Everything on Heretic is done by Steve. Also Stricken Arise.

yeah, it could be.

At many parts there are more than 2 vocals, everything is done by trey I guess or maybe tucker at some parts

I think Treys high vocals sound fairly similar to Steve's which is really weird

I can also hear some Trey´s vocals on background of Heaving Earth at 3:37 "Spirits of the Flames, remember..." or maybe it Steve on the second track.
