With the little finger pointing out, I hold like that aswell, It's very comfortable but you CAN'T play good leads like that.

thats also how i hold the pick. i can't really play by clenching my picking hand into a fist. then again, i'm not that fast

When you pick fast rhythm and clench your hand and anchor you pinky on the bridge pickup like bob, Trey even myself it makes it easier to pick faster and you have a shitload more stability and the pick stays where it should, thus creating a easier , faster and cleaner way of picking but if it doesnt come natural I suppose it would be hard to catch on to.

I can't do that, it hurts my hand.
