DId anyone go to the concert in Pomona last night?

here's a short review / set list I found

Morbid Angel

Rapture

Pain Divine

Maze of Torment

Sworn to the Black

Nevermore

Lord of Fevers and Plague

Immortal Rites

Falling From Grace

Blasphemy

Chapel of Ghouls

Dawn of the Angry

Where the Slime Live

Bil Ur-Sag

Blood on my Hands

God of Emptiness

World of Shit

Morbid Angel was a big let down, they played the same exact set as two years ago. Tim sounded great, just played too fast at times and jumped to the next part too soon.

They should at least add one more new song to the set list before the album is released.

I asked the hard-on bearer who recorded one of those -

Did they play anything new? (excluding Nevermore)

Pennyroyal07

@Pennyroyal07 At first Dave said "how about we play a few tracks off the new album", but after that he said "how about just one?" and then they played Nevermore. They played the same exact set they did in 2009.

This band is getting boring. The same setlist for how may years now? I wouldn't go to see them if they played in Poland. I expect the new album to be really bad, like Chinese Democracy.

yeah, i think the only changes they've made to their setlist since DV returned have been adding bil-ur-sag and nevermore. rather disappointing

yeah...that was a mess. Did you notice how the second chorus on GoE was different?

See? The autopilot and boring stage performance they've had for years now, makes me not wanting to go see them (and I did go to almost all those shows here with David). But this shit isn't worth the money IMHO. :frown: Thor is just standing there like a statue, so is Trey, only David is walking around a bit.

Lol, David sang something weird in that chorus :redneck: Tim's making lots of mistakes in GoE. :homework:

I take back what I said about Tim being technically proficient enough to fill Pete's shoes. I just hope his kinks are worked out before there's a real US tour.

God of Emptiness was a fucking trainwreck.

That has to be a monitoring issue. It seems drums are either ahead or behind but listening to it again, I'm not sure

because the volume fluctuations & distortions between instruments in this audio makes it difficult to discern.

E,DIT: the only G.O.E. performance I found is not sonically listenable at all so if there's another, please send it along.

It's only GOE that's like that, World of shit was fine. And the snare sound is pretty badass, when he starts blasting in World of Shit, sounds awesome.

:eyes: No shit! I hear more guitar fuckups than drum timing issues. (Sometimes both, though.) Damn--I cringed though about 80% of it...

Whatever happened to the band must have thrown him off. It was just a clusterfuck all around! Chapel of Ghouls sounds hinky in a few spots, too.
