i dont keep up on them so all i know is john frusciante left the band a few years ago i think and they have some really young dude on guitar now

On June 8, 2011, in a article with Rolling Stone magazine's David Fricke, Anthony, Flea and jorsh were interviewed and talked about the new album. I'm with You will have 14 songs and the first single has been confirmed to be The Adventures of Raindance Maggie. Flea said that the Rolling Stones albums Exile On Main Street and Tattoo You were major influences on the new music and he listened to both albums alot during the writing of the album. Anthony said of the new album, "There is no question – this is a beginning". Kiedis also said that Klinghoffer played a big role, his voice was just as dominant as the other three during the process of making the album and that jorsh also co-wrote the album with Kiedis, Flea and Smith.

i didnt really care for californication and the one after that i heard the single and went "eh" and thats all i know about the chili peppers since 1999



getting a new guitarist at this point is kind of like morbid angel needing ANOTHER new frontman. and thats just turning out fucking great

so they are still around
