two come to mind for me: Torche and Opeth. know any others?

I find death to be one of the more positive sounding bands. Any of their soul-searching stuff, even if its critical of some one is pretty positive.

actually, yes. I can completely agree about anaal nathrakh and Napalm Death. fruital music but their message and personalities are always positive.
