in spirit is the only song on here i've never been able to get into. it's possible that by track nine my brain just goes "break time"



every other song is some degree of incredible win and there are three or four absolute masterpieces going on. if none so vile is the quintessential fruital death album i reckon that king of all kings is the one that comes closest to matching the mark

me too.

As i've said a number of times, i think i'd 'enjoy them more' if it wasn't all blast-beats & break-neck speed.

even if the drums went half-time more it'd be more enjoyable and no need for "ok, now for something else...".



On "I, Monarch" my fav parts/tracks are the ones with the slow drums and patterns eg: "I Monarch's intro and "The Faceless One".

Derek is great when he plays half time grooves & patterns

There's a fair bit of diversity to the drumss on the new one.

The new one feels like it has things that the previous ones lacked.

Conquering the throne was a good one. King of all kings was not as good and every album afterwards has been a downhill trip.

Not much really. There are only about three bands worth my attention. Anything new today will be bad.

I saw them around the time of I, Monarch and not since. I thought that jammed, and I think King of All Kings jams, but Hate Eternal still isn't one of my favourite DM bands.



They're good at what they but what they do isn't THAT exciting, sorta thing.

does that really seem so far fetched, though? think of all the albums you really, really, really like and think are great. put them in a list. then, look up how many original albums are released every week in this country alone.

Oh, the quantity? Not at all. A lot of music is released on a pretty constant basis. I'm sure the entire HE discography is far, far, far, far less than 0.000000001%.
