neurosis finished recording the new album last december, and apparently it was mixed and mastered by the end of april...but it's coming out the first week in november

dont they have their own label as well

this wait is because of a hugely complex marketing campaign that will cost $10 billion

I'm sure it's in "keeping with their vibe" bullshit as to why it won't be released til the winter.



You guys remember when albums came out 1-3 months after they were finished and actually leaked literally right away

I remember albums would leak 4 months early and release dates getting pushed up

those were the times

i remember all of that and i dont understand why these days there seems to be a 4-6 month gap between finishing the album and releasing it. shit baffles

as far as i know its mainly due to schedules for the labels to release things and market them but it does seem stupid.

but like...is the marketing that much more important now, or something? is two months of marketing not long enough?
