If you were allowed take eight albums with you, which would they be?



Any genre. Greatest hits/compilations do not count. Although I will accept live albums. Classical music symphonies/longer pieces count as an album. Other Classical collections can be considered a single album. Use your sense making abilities to distinguish.



I'll have to give this some thought.



EDIT: Thoughts/reasons why these particular albums, rather than something else, etc, may make this more interesting. If people feel like doing that.

Hmm...whatever it may be, I'm pretty sure Master Of Puppets and either Reign In Blood/South Of Heaven or Schizophrenia/Beneath The Remains will be on that list of mine. Fuck this is hard.

why 8?



why not hundreds? i mean, i can take, for example, a sansa clip+ with a 32gb SDHC card and i can fit it in my smallest pocket without any problem.. and with almost 40gigs of music i can take quite a bit more albums than 8



now that digital audio is so easy to use and accessible, these kind of threads are quite pointless

I think certain soundtracks are a loophole here, given their size. Throw out the various artist movie compilations, for fairness. You still have the Cowboy Bebop OST at four discs. The Chrono Cross OST is four discs. Who knows how long the Lord of the Rings and original Star Wars soundtracks really are.

Yea there probably are. Still, if even a few albums were mentioned that I didn't have, I would probably check them out. If not, no harm, and somebody might say something funny.

yeah I figured as much, this hypothetical playlist island never seems to have internet. It magically seems to have electricity/equipment for intense listening though.
