Given everything he's done, it seems unlikely to me that SFU would be musically satisfying. I am genuinely puzzled. I wasn't serious about the paycheck bit, because come on. It's not like Six Feet Under is a huge draw, and he can probably make more money doing studio work.

they have a pretty big draw actually. who the fuck knows why, but they get similar sized crowds as a lot of other big death metal bands.

1. Kid starts listening to death metal.

2. Kid wikis 'death metal', sees the name 'Cannibal Corpse'.

3. Kid downloads and listens to Cannibal Corpse discography; kid listens to early albums first and 'likes' them for tr00ness and kvltness' sake.

4. Kid starts to look up to Chris Barnes because he thinks he's l33t because he sang in early Cannibal Corpse albums.

5. Kid hears of Six Feet Under.

6. Kid hears Six Feet Under is playing a show nearby. OMG GONNA SEE CHRIS BARNES FINALLY!!!

7. Kid goes to Six Feet Under show and bears the SFU music that he has never heard of while eagerly hoping to hear songs like 'Shredded Humans' and 'Rancid Amputation' or other CC songs that he knows Barnes sang on.



Now take said kid and multiply and the product will be the answer as to why SFU gets that 'pretty big draw'.

Shows are pretty enthousiastically received; at the Dynamo 98 gig a dude in our group got both his upper front teeth kicked out.



It's a band that got kickstarted as some sort of supergroup while Obitaury was on hiatus.



Then it became like the ACDC of deathmetal somewhat filling the gap Massacre left.



The record company lets them release dvd after dvd, and cover cd after cover cd, so it must sell.



Paycheck sounds logical.
